Mission of the Navarrese Wind Energy Sector in India

The supplier industry of the Navarrese wind energy sector and the National Renewable Energy Centre (CENER) have reached the first agreements with the main Indian agents in the same field, within the framework of the technical-commercial mission that, headed by the vice-president Manu Ayerdi, has been carried out in the Asian country.

The first technology transfer agreement between the companies Fluitecnik and Wheels India has been signed. (See)

Moreover, the Navarrese suppliers have been satisfied with the fact that their presence has aroused a great deal of interest in the Indian wind energy industry, so the prospects for concluding commercial agreements are very positive in the short term.

Work is already underway on the next commercial and institutional actions. Specifically, the Windergy fair to be held next April in New Delhi, in which the Navarre wind energy sector will participate in a shared pavilion supported by the Government of Navarre. The regional government is contributing 60,000 euros to this two-year commercial initiative, co-financed by the European ERDF programme 50%. Furthermore, at an institutional level, the visit to Navarre of the Indian ambassador to Spain is being finalised, which is expected to take place at the beginning of 2017.

International consolidation

The conference, held at a hotel in Chennai, was organised to promote an exchange of policies, legislation and situation analysis of the Indian and Navarran wind energy markets and to promote the exhibition of technologies based in Navarre.

Before the audience, the vice-president highlighted the strengths of the renewable energy sector in Navarre: 24.25% of energy consumption is covered by renewable energy and, in the specific case of electricity consumption, 83.67%.

“In the near future, Navarre will be a world leader in renewable energies with experience in R&D&I”, said Ayerdi, who also summarised the objectives of the region's new energy plan.

Leading Indian wind energy manufacturers on trade mission to Navarre

A delegation from the leading Indian wind energy companies will be visiting Navarre from Wednesday 14 September to Friday 16 September on a trade mission organised by the group of companies from the Autonomous Community of Navarre present at this event. Asian country (Navarra Wind Supply).

The aim is to present the potential of Navarre's wind power sector in order to study possibilities for business collaboration and technological development between companies and knowledge centres in both territories.

Specifically, the Indian delegation consists of eight people from the following companies Suzlon Group, leading turbine manufacturer; Regen Power, focused on applied research and commercialisation of technologies; and InoxWind, wind turbine manufacturer.

The “reverse trade mission” (promotion of Navarra in India) was organised by the companies IED Greenpower, Frenos Iruña, Fluitecnik, Industrias Barga, Ingeteam and Tetrace (already established in India) and others with interests in the area, such as Industrias Laneko and Jatorman.

Navarra Wind Supply was created in 2015 to promote commercial synergies and to share experiences and costs between supplier industries. As Mr. Soto explained, following this “reverse mission” of the major Indian manufacturers to Navarre, In November there will be a technical-commercial meeting in Chennai with the Indian market (group and individual meetings to present the products). The companies from Navarre will present the grouped offer of products and services in January 2017 at the Windenergy fair (New Delhi).

Trade mission in Navarra of the leading Indian manufacturers of Wind Energy

A delegation of the main Indian companies in the Wind Energy Sector visits Navarra from September 14 until Friday 16, in a trade mission organized by a group of companies of Navarra who are present in this Asian country (Navarra Wind Supply).
