Enercluster, Navarra's wind cluster, is born
On 14th November, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Navarre held the presentation of the Enercluster, Navarra Wind Energy Cluster of which Fluitecnik is a founding partner, and which was attended by the Vice-President dthe Government of Navarre, Manu Ayerdi. The Vice-President highlighted the context of the wind energy sector in Navarre and its most important data: “With a turnover of 6,000 million euros in wind energy, and more than 11,500 people employed, it has long been one of the key sectors in Navarre”.
At the presentation, Enrique Teruel, Enercluster's president, Enercluster, defined the wind cluster “as an entity that wants to consolidate itself as a community driving the growth of the wind energy sector of Navarre”.
Enercluster aspires to reduce energy production costs, increase the size and added value of its members and help the organisations that make up the wind energy sector in Navarre to remain loyal to the region. It also participates in the diversification of the activities of the sector of industries linked to wind energy, collaboration in research, development and innovation projects, the search for international markets for its new products and, in short, the improvement of the competitiveness of the associated companies and institutions.
The formal presentation of the new wind cluster was completed with a series of conferences in which some of the key issues affecting the sector globally (and also in Navarre) were analysed, as well as a round table discussion on the competitive environment, internationalisation and collaborative R+D.
